A beautiful day in the great outdoors deep within the NJ Pine Barrens. Just to get to the venue, we had to drive several miles down a narrow dirt road dodging potholes and puddles until the trees opened up the many wooden cabins. After some careful ducking and dodging to move the bride and groom between cabins without the other seeing preparations were complete for the big moment. The ceremony took place in an open air amphitheater with sweeping views of Lake Stockton. Squam, the owl from the Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge where the pair first met, made his appearance as the ring bearer and got a front row view of the ceremony from his log perch. Soon after, the backlit forest made for stunning portraits full of warm yellows and oranges. The reception took place in an an elegant and rustic hall adorned with DIY style and hand made decorations. Strings lights and a roaring fire provided the perfect ambience on this cool summer evening as the couple ate and danced the night away.
